The Ola S1 Pro is Ola Electric's fully loaded electric scooter, and it boasts some of the best range and performance of any electric scooter in India. The company also just announced the S1 Pro Gen 2 for Rs 1,47,499 ex-showroom, including the FAME 2 subsidy. This revised S1 Pro is constructed on a new platform and includes feature improvements, a redesigned suspension, a little longer range, and increased performance. The Gen 2 is expected to begin deliveries in November 2023.
The Ola S1 Pro is available in a single model in 12 colors: Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Marshmellow, Anthracite Grey, Liquid Silver, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, Matte Black, Khaki, Millennial Pink, Gerua, and Porcelain White. The price is Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom Delhi, including the FAME-2 incentive).
The Ola S1 Pro includes a comprehensive LED lighting system, a 7-inch touch-enabled TFT display, and smartphone communication through Bluetooth. It also has WiFi/LTE connectivity and GPS functionality. Side-stand down and anti-theft alarms, geo-fencing, reverse mode, Get Home mode, Take Me Home lights, and a Limp Home mode are notable features.
The MoveOS 3.0 OTA update adds a slew of new features. These have three distinct ride modes: Bolt, Vintage, and Eclipse, each customized to a different set of tastes. For extended periods of inactivity, an energy-saving vacation mode is also available. In addition, the update adds proximity unlock, simulated engine sounds, hill hold, three levels of regenerative braking, Hypercharging (which provides a 50km range in just 15 minutes of charging), Bluetooth calling, and the novel function of key sharing.
The Ola S1 Pro is powered by an IPM motor with a nominal power output of 5.5kW and a peak performance of 8.5kW. It comes with a 4kWh battery pack that takes about 6.5 hours to fully recharge. It has a stated real range of up to 170km in Eco mode and 135km in Normal mode. This e-scooter has a reported top speed of 116kmph and can go from zero to 40kmph in 2.9 seconds.
The Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ather 450X, Simple One, and the impending TVS iQube ST are the Ola S1 Pro's competitors. You may also get the Apache RTR 160, Revolt RV400, or Pulsar NS160 for a similar price.
