FIR Against Rakhi Sawant
Tanushree Dutta has officially lodged a complaint against Rakhi Sawant, accusing her of causing emotional distress during the Me Too Movement in 2018. Dutta claims that Sawant planned a stunt to get attention for a film, which led to bounced checks and harm to her reputation. Dutta also says that Sawant interfered in her personal life, making it difficult for her to get married. Even though Dutta initially struggled to handle Sawant’s behavior, she’s now taking legal action against her.
To stop further harm to her public image, Tanushree Dutta has taken the legal route, going to the Oshiwara Police Station to file a First Information Report (FIR) against Sawant.
Speaking to the media, Dutta said, “I’m here to file an FIR against Rakhi Sawant for the emotional trauma she caused during the Me Too Movement in 2018. The FIR includes various charges based on multiple reasons. I’ve documented every statement made against me. This time, she won’t get away. Legal proceedings have started, and I’ve given them a detailed background.”
Dutta shared the story, saying, “During the film Horn Ok Please, they initially replaced Rakhi and brought me in. Later, after the Nana Patekar controversy, they brought Rakhi back. It was a plan to get publicity for the film using my name. They dishonored all my checks; it was a deliberate move, and Rakhi was part of it.”

Talking about the tough times, Dutta shared, “I went through a lot emotionally because of Rakhi. She said terrible things about me. Rakhi creates drama every year to stay in the spotlight. She completely ruined my reputation. She attacked my personal life, and I couldn’t get married because of her constant interference.”
When asked about the delayed FIRs, Dutta explained, “I was already alert, having filed a complaint against Nana Patekar in 2008 and 2018. Rakhi’s videos and accusations in 2018 made me unwell. Now that I have the chance to take legal action, I’ll make sure Rakhi faces consequences for everything she’s done. I admit, earlier I couldn’t handle her aggression, but now I will.”
Reflecting on her emotional state after watching the videos, Tanushree said, “I cried looking at those videos a few days back. She completely ruined my image in the industry, and her false accusations made me go to the US for work as it became unbearable here. People need to open their eyes and take strong actions against people like Rakhi. My career was going so well, and she ruined it completely for me.”
