Deepika Padukone shared that Ranveer Singh never once said, ‘Alright, let’s forget about it’ or ‘How about we go for a drive.’

The latest episode of Koffee With Karan’s eighth season is here, featuring the lovely duo, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. They chatted about everything from their careers to personal moments. One topic close to Deepika’s heart was her experience with feeling down, something she’s talked about before. She also shared how Ranveer supported her through it.
Ranveer explained how he first found out about Deepika’s tough time. Here’s what he said:
Back in 2014, I was busy with a film shoot when Deepika called. She said, ‘I feel like there’s darkness around me, and I’m falling. Can you come over?’ Without a second thought, I hopped on my bike and went straight to her place. When I saw her, it was clear something was wrong. She was physically there, but her mind seemed far away.

Deepika shared how Ranveer played a big role
One morning, she was sitting beside me, crying. I got up and asked, ‘What’s wrong, baby? How can I help?’ I remember that moment because I felt powerless.
After this incident, Ranveer called Deepika’s parents and sister. Deepika praised Ranveer for being patient, saying:
During that time, he provided a safe space for me to talk openly. Not once did he say, ‘Let’s forget about it’ or ‘How about we go for a drive’ or anything like that. Back then, he might not have fully understood what I was going through, but he stayed by my side. His patience meant a lot to me and helped me understand Ranveer better as a person.
