Upcoming Apple Event: Apple Set to Release MacBook M2 Next Week.

Apple is gearing up for its annual October event, which falls on the day before Halloween at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST. This event, known as ‘Scary Fast,’ is where the tech giant usually introduces new devices. In September, Apple revealed the latest iPhone 15 series at the Wonderlust event.

The upcoming Apple event is expected to make waves with the launch of the new M3 chipset, featuring 3-nanometer processors that promise significant enhancements compared to the earlier M2 series released in June 2022, as per a report by Bloomberg.

Mark Gurnman from Bloomberg shared that Apple is likely to introduce two new MacBook Pros, codenamed J514 and J516, powered by the M3 Pro and M3 Max processors.

Reportedly, Apple is in the process of testing different versions of the 12-core M3 Pro processor. Some variations will consist of six high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, while another M3 Pro chipset might feature 14 primary cores with 10 high-performance cores, 4 efficiency cores, and 20 graphics cores.

Furthermore, a top-tier M3 Max chipset could boast 16 main cores, including 12 high-performance cores, 4 efficiency cores, and 40 graphics cores. Apple also plans to offer more extensive RAM options, with choices of 24GB and 48GB.

Although specific details about the M3 chipsets that will accompany the new MacBook Pro lineup remain unclear, the Cupertino company is expected to provide improved gaming capabilities akin to the highly praised A17 chip in the iPhone 15 Pro.

Recent reports hinted at Apple expanding its iPad lineup, but Gurnman clarified that no new iPads will be unveiled at this year’s event.
