In the areas between Manipur’s Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts, there’s an ongoing intense gunfight between two groups that’s now into its third day. Unfortunately, three people lost their lives on Thursday, including two who got hurt from fragments just a day ago. The police confirmed this sad news.
According to a defense source, in Bishnupur where the Meitei community is strong, there are groups led by women. These groups are preventing more security forces from reaching the center of the fight. The clash between the two groups, marked by continuous firing, began on the early morning of August 29th.
