The 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy is often considered the worst industrial disaster ever. It still haunts the memories of those who were in the city at the time. This terrible event happened when dangerous Methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas leaked from a Union Carbide pesticide plant in the city. It claimed the lives of over 2,000 people and affected more than 600,000 workers and nearby residents.
Set against the backdrop of this terrible event, the upcoming Netflix series “The Railway Men” will showcase the heroes who helped thousands of residents escape the city by train to safer places. While all this is happening, a police constable (played by Divyendu Sharma) also joins them to help. But as time goes on, things get more and more difficult as they encounter various obstacles. Will they be able to succeed in their mission?
